A peaceful, friendly, progressive community…The wail of the train whistle can still be heard in the small town of New Haven as it passes through making a path across the city’s main street. Being home of the Kentucky Railway Museum, thousands of visitors stop to examine the depot and the quaint community. The community’s love affair with trains is evident through its festival dedicated to the former king of travel. New Haven hosts the Rolling Fork Iron Horse Festival annually in the early part of fall. In addition to trains, New Haven is also home to public and parochial schools. New Haven is 12 miles south of Bardstown.
